Put in mixing bowl drained lentils, 750gr water, 300gr tomato passata, 1 bay leaf, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 vegetable stock, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 ground cumin and cook

Remove the measuring cup from the mixing bowl and put the simmering basket instead. Continue cooking

If lentils are not soft enough then you can cook more with the measuring cup on. It depends on how good quality they are. If this is the case, cook for more 5-10 minutes.

Add in mixing bowl 1 tablespoon white vinegar and 1 tablespoon salt and mix

The reason we add salt in the end its because lentils tend to absorb salt quickly and make them hard and difficult to cook. Thats why we add salt in the end.
