Beetroot hummus
Βήμα 1
Place 3 garlic gloves, roasted and 200 g beetroot, cooked, cut into pieces into mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 8. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.

Add 800 g chickpeas, canned, strained and rinsed, 1/2 lemon, skin only, (no white pith) and 120 g lemon juice and mix 40 sec/speed 5.

Βήμα 3
Add 5 tbsp tahini, 35 g olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp ground cumin into mixing bowl and mix 30 sec/ speed 5 or until desired consistency is achieved. Garnish with basil leaves and serve.

You can steam raw beetroots in the Thermomix. Place 200 g raw beetroot and 500 g water into mixing bowl and steam 20 min/Varoma/speed 1.
